I recently build Wine. After building it, I proceeded to test it with notepad. It crashed with a seg fault (see attachment) Then I executed it with gdb (64bit) and got a lot of extra info. Cursor will not match with application coordinates. Cannot interact with the game properly and reach everything. It's easier to show when only one display is present, and you would set the coordinates to for instance 2000,2000. Then you would run 'wine notepad' and simply try to interact with the menu using the mouse. Since the coordinates are off, it doesn't really work. Rationale: Having no display at 0,0 is supported - e.g., that position could be for a laptop display that is off, or a display you have disconnected. Originally identified running a game (Everspace 1) from Wayland in steam proton 9 and experimental and wondering why cursor appears unaligned. This application worked fine with Ubuntu XFCE 22.04 but after upgrading to 24.04 it no longer works. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Wine (Version 9.0~repack) from the Ubuntu software center but that did not help. I will try a .deb file install of version 9.2 if I can to see if that helps. I noted error window "Error setting display mode" behind it. Pressing Esc process is terminated.
