I have the same version of gcc. No problems with running configure readhat 7.2.
I don't know what could be the problem.

Summary: ld: cannot find -lgdbm on compilation
Product: Wine
Version: 20020509
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: wine-misc
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.com
ReportedBy: seasidefront(a)yahoo.fr
Dear colleague,
When I compile wine I got the following message:
Note (probably harmless): No library found for -ldbm
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgdbm
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [winetest.exe.so] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/ignasi/wine-20020509/programs/winetest'
make[1]: *** [winetest] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/ignasi/wine-20020509/programs'
make: *** [programs] Error 2
Compilation failed, aborting install.
I use Debian Potato 2.2, with the following programs:
gcc 2.95.2 2
ld 2.9.5
wine-20020411 has compiled successfully on the same machine.
If you want or I missed some more info, please tell me.
Thanks a lot for all your effort.
All the very best,
Ignasi

Summary: Terragen LCMapStringA( ... ) vs wine-20020605
Product: Wine
Version: 20020605
Platform: PC
URL: http://bowlvisions.com/
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-ole
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.com
ReportedBy: ithaqua(a)inreach.com
CC: ithaqua(a)inreach.com
"wine Terragen.exe" throws X error: Failed to load "TreeView" ... outdated
COMCTL32.OCX ... after Terragen main window has opened. Using COMCTL32.OCX that
came with Terragen.
Console errors refer to "LCMapStringA( ... ): unimplemented", 4 times prior to
and 4 times after: Loading modules in C:\Program Files\Terragen\ etc.
No Windows partition present at runtime - on purpose - but do have the
capability to "borrow" (copy) system files & DLLs to Linux for Linux to use at
runtime. Just don't know where to put them - OR - is updated source required
for OLE or what?
Using Linux Mandrake 8.1, kernel 2.4.8-26mdk, KDE 2.2.1, freetype-2.1.2,
Xwindows 3.3.6, libGL.so.1.2, and building wine-20020605 with gcc-2.96. Not
using Xwindows 4.2.0 just yet.
NotePad.exe and WinMine.exe test apps both work fine. Thanks!

Could you complete that report a bit?
Add this to your config file, with your exe's name in place of name_of_your_exe,
and rerun.
[AppDefault\\name_of_your_exe\\Debug]
"RelayExclude" =
"RtlEnterCriticalSection;RtlLeaveCriticalSection;RtlDeleteCriticalSection;RtlFreeHeap"
