When running the opengl test under wine, it creates a window for an opengl rendering, but at the same time, it minimizes, making the original window active. The test therefore turns out wrong, although it will go through like it is working. You can get the program here, http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/war3/other/VideoTest.zip A similar problem occurs in the game Warcraft III (beta) when you don't have a sound driver loaded. It creates an opengl window, but after that, it displays a MessageBox saying it couldn't initialize the sound driver. Because of that, the game minimizes. You close the messagebox and you can still type into the game esc to exit. Loading a sound module prevents this problem. I tried a rudimentary fix by disabling the MinMaximize function (found where ever it is... winpos.c I think) Warcraft III the game will load normally because you close the messagebox to continue. but the VideoTest enters an endless (or very long) loop because it keeps switching the active state between the opengl window and the main window. Probably the reason they keep the main window active is in case the video test fails, the program can still recover from a fullscreen mode. You can try to restore the opengl window, but it doesn't restore properly. That is probably a different problem though. I'm just concerned that it shouldn't minimize the window in the first place. In normal Windows OS, it doesn't minimize these windows. Bug #829 triggers lock-up in Baldur's Gate

This fixme is only encountered during game 'movies' (including resting and death scenes). I have a full logfile if anyone is interested. Note if you need the MSVBVM60.dll (vb6 runtime) download the first testcase. WARNING: Clicking modal appears like nothing has happened - You need to expand the first form in order to see the 'hung' dialog which is treated as a child and clipped to the first form. Note it doesnt accept mouse input at all, but escape does remove it. http://bugs.winehq.com/show_bug.cgi?id=838 Summary: winedbg: Add C++ support Product: Wine Version: CVS Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: wine-debug AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.com ReportedBy: fgouget(a)codeweavers.com Some support has been added but many things are still needed: * function name mangling/demangling * support for the C++-specific symbolic type information (class types etc.) * access object members (i.e. understand the C++ ABI complete with multiple inheritance, virtual base classes, virtual function tables etc.) * track the implicit 'this' pointer * etc. This support would also involve work on 3 debugging formats: CodeView (well, windows in general), stabs and DWARF, as well as 3 different ABIs. But there would probably be some common part too. It may not be very useful to add C++ support for stabs at this point since it is being replaced by DWARF2 in gcc 3 (see bug 834) and using gcc 3 is highly recommended if you are going to do Winelib C++ development anyway. But C++ support for DWARF2 would be useful for Winelib work, and C++ support for the windows format for people porting their Windows applications (or wanting to use MFC42.pdb) using Wine. Once work starts on this, it may be worth making this a metabug and attaching individual tasks to it.
