Cannot reproduce it anymore.
(with same mirc365.exe from my other comment from 2012,
in none of the wineversions: 1.7.23, 1.3.36 or 1.2)
So probably some system update made it disappear.

Hello folks,
refining the summary to target a specific MFC version and provide recipe in
attempt to prevent people from creating further dupes in Bugzilla.
Bug 36984 targets 'mfc110.dll' in similar way (summary provides recipe).

Platform: x86-64

Hi,
There was an Uplay update the 4th June and since this date, UPlay does not
works correctly.
When there isn't problem, like on my Windows partition for example, after to
launch UPlay :
1-A first window appears named "UPlay : Update of UPlay". At this step, UPlay
check if an update is available or not.
2-Then, the second window appears to log in to open UPlay.
Before the update, these 2 steps work without problem. Yesterday, when i launch
UPlay, i had the update download but after the installation when i relaunch
UPlay, i stay at the first step, like if Uplay can't pass the update check to
pass to the login step.
I tried UPlay on Debian Wheezy/Sid and Archlinux 64Bits, on these 3 systems i
have the same problem.
It's possible to reproduce this problem, download UPlayInstaller here
(http://static3.cdn.ubi.com/orbit/launcher_installer/UplayInstaller.exe)
It's not important if you haven't UPlay account, install and launch it and you
have the problem.
Thanks,
Max

Summary: AES 128 works different on "Win7" and on "Wine win7"

src and compiled exe for test
Hello,
I have a windows application that uses CryptoAPI.
I've found that encrypted text differs when application runs on real Win7
machine and on Wine.
When I encrypt/decrypt the same data on Windows everything works fine. When I
encrypt/decrypt the same data on Wine everything works fine too. The problem
happens when I encrypt on Windows and decrypt on Wine. I made a simple
application to show that encrypted results differ.
Please run cryptoapi_test.exe from the attachement on Windows and on Wine and
you will get different results. Src also attached. I also attached the same
crypt test on JavaScript and Python for reference (they give the same result as
on Windows).
I found the similar bug #28673 but it has a very messy description.

The problem is that these files DO EXIST, albeit with different case for the
filename, and I can see them in wine's file explorer. However, I expect wine
to be case-insensitive the way windows is, and indeed I don't see any problems
with the rest of the game.
Any ideas?

ReportedBy: zorael(a)gmail.com
The Dark Age of Camelot patcher will not start on my machine running Kubuntu
lucid (10.04) x86, currently at alpha 3. The Wine package in use is from the
official repositories, wine1.2=1.1.39-0ubuntu1.
The game installs fine via the free retail downloader client (available at
http://www.darkageofcamelot.com/download/), although you can only specify the
download location with your mouse. (Editing the location bar will cause a
different crash; separate bug.)
When running 'wine camelot.exe' afterwards, it seems to start downloading
files, but eventually crashes with a Wine error popup and a wall of text output
to the terminal. Consequent tries yield the same results plus an error popup
spawned by the application itself, saying it "was unable to update the file
camelot.bin". Terminal control is not returned to the user; I have to Ctrl+C
out or kill the process.
Attaching terminal log of the crash.

The Mod Manager (ModMgr.exe) of rFactor 2 has stopped working with the above
commit. I found it by means of git bisect.
How it is supposed to work:
There is a list of items that can be installed. After marking one and then
clicking the "Install" button a small popup window appears informing about the
status of the action. On success said popup closes and the item will show up as
installed.
What happens with the above commit applied:
ModMgr.exe starts as usual, one can select items from the list. But on clicking
say the "Install" button it only gets disabled (the label characters turns from
black to grey) and nothing else happens.
To me it looks like the action associated with those buttons is not executed.

I found AnXin bringing it's gdiplus.dll and setting using native gdiplus.dll

I installed 3dmark06 and tried to run it, it feels to get stuck on 1st run.
Second run goes into the program.
Then I tried to run it without dll overrides and I saw it complaning about
shaders.
Installed 1st the other dll and then the other which are mentioned wine
database.
After those overrides I couldnt get the 3dmark run at all.
Can you confirm?
But I don't see that pixelshader error which some are seeing.

I had kubuntu 14.04, using mainly kde desktop. I used wine a lot and it never
created desktop icons into my desktop. But I think when I had same system but
another desktop in use it used the desktop icons correctly.
Now I have linux mint 17 kde, I have installed a lot of software and they
always want to come into my desktop.
Also I use a lot winetricks to clean prefix, delete all. But it doesnt delete
my desktop icons of programs that just got deleted.
Why?
Why it doesn't delete those icons and links?
And why didnt kubuntu add icons into the desktop?

If you want to confirm this bug, installation is pretty straightforward:
Go to website, create account, make sure you are running a windows browser - I
used Internet Explorer 8 - then click Play Now. The plugin will install,
followed by a new window which will download and install Battlefield Heroes.
The main interface should start then, but you'll need msvcp90.dll

Hello,
I recently switched to gcc 4.6.x based distro and encountered strange problems
with "AniDB O'Matic" (http://anidb.net/ client) and possibly other apps.
The app crash handler catches a fault in startup phase and displays a rather
exhaustive "crash analysis" dialog.
The fault can be acknowledged and the app continues to load.
Tracing with +relay yields nothing - the crash never happens.
Without +relay but relevant debugging channels:

The app installs some hooks into win32 API using intrusive way.
No IAT/API entry/hotpatch is used .. it analyses the API code and patches
calls.
Example:
"CreateThread" snippet:
--- snip original ---
...
movl 0x38(%esp),%eax
movl %eax,0xc(%esp)
movl 0x34(%esp),%eax
movl %eax,0x8(%esp)
movl 0x30(%esp),%eax
movl %eax,0x4(%esp)
call 0x7edb1d80 CreateRemoteThread [/home/kernel32/thread.c:54] in kernel32:
subl $28,%esp
addl $40,%esp
popl %ebx
ret $0x18
--- snip original ---
--- snip patched ---
...
movl 0x38(%esp),%eax
movl %eax,0xc(%esp)
movl 0x34(%esp),%eax
movl %eax,0x8(%esp)
movl 0x30(%esp),%eax
movl %eax,0x4(%esp)
call 0x0045029c
subl $28,%esp
addl $40,%esp
popl %ebx
ret $0x18
--- snip patched ---
Although questionable this works (even in earlier Wine versions).
Further analysis reveals the app was written in Delphi and makes use of
"madCodeHook/madExcept" library (http://madshi.net/).
The apps creates several threads which are initialized successfully.
The problem is actually an RPC thread that gets created by Wine code.
See here:
http://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git/blob/7e309601f3cb55deadaab9bd44475748…
Disassembly of problematic snippet from function "RPCRT4_start_listen_protseq":
--- snip ---
...
movl $0x6b9,%ebp
movl $0x0,0x14(%esp)
movl $0x0,0x10(%esp)
movl %esi,0xc(%esp)
movl %eax,0x8(%esp)
movl $0x0,0x4(%esp)
movl $0x0,0x0(%esp)
call 0x7e5b9d68 CreateThread in rpcrt4
subl $24,%esp
testl %eax,%eax
...
--- snip ---
Upon entry of CreateRemoteThread "hook", the handler analyses the frame pointer
(checks for non-zero) and tries to access the frame location.
This fails because GCC emitted code that used EBP as general purpose register
for return status (RPC_S_OUT_OF_RESOURCES) in caller.
The fault due to EBP dereference is safely caught from app SEH and a dialog
shown.
Additionally to the RPC thread problem the GUI shows issues which were
previously not present: some treeview items are missing/rearranged.
I checked the comctl32/treeview code .. even did some tests with older Wine
versions (1.3.0, 1.3.20) no regressions found - it behaved similar.
In short: these issues are the result of gcc 4.6+ now free to omit frame
pointers on x86 (= default), see:
http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc-4.6.1/gcc/Optimize-Options.html
I fixed the problems by adding "-fno-omit-frame-pointer" to build flags.
The app works as expected (thread hooks = ok, GUI issues = gone).
I suspect there will be more apps and games that use code that depends on frame
pointer not being abused as general purpose register.
The question is: is it worth to hunt down all Wine code and decorate functions
with "no optimize" attributes to keep frame pointer from being abused?
E.g. something like this: __attribute__((optimize("-fno-omit-frame-pointer")))
Maybe "-fno-omit-frame-pointer" should be default if Wine x86 is built with gcc
4.6.

Atmel AVR studio v4.14 (same behaviour for other versions from 4.08 - 4.19)
from www.atmel.com correctly installs and run, but simulator is unusable,
because list of supported device is unavailable.
Always reproducible: Create new assembler project - in second step select AVR
simulator (v1 or v2, same result). In messages pane there's only line "Error
getting supported devices".
Based on terminal info it seems to be related with ole and rpc.
Used on 64bit Gentoo linux, compiled using gcc 4.4.5, only 32bit WINEARCH,
fresh wineprefix.
Log for clean wineprexfix attached, with native msxml3 and vcrun2005 behaviour
not changed, only xsl_pattern error (3rd from end) disappeared.

The entry is patched if "hotpatch" prolog is detected: 2 byte relative short
jump back to Windows-style long-jump area (which is located before the API
using NOPs or INT3s).
Due to missing HOTPATCH area, setting hooks for following API fails as above
code will not patch these API entries:
user32.dll "AdjustWindowRectEx"
user32.dll "AdjustWindowRect"
user32.dll "SetWindowLongA"
After failure a different code path is taken and several other API get patched:
kernel32.dll "LoadLibraryA"
kernel32.dll "LoadLibraryW"
all "Ex" variants.
I think that code path is actually bugged which has severe consequences.
Later delayed imports are resolved using the stubs:

--- snip ---
The original IAT entry contains the destination API address which points to
first byte of entry (only makes sense *if* the API is *not* hooked).
For whatever reason the wrapper doesn't make use of the hook-data (see function
that patches the API entries: the +2 address is also saved away to continue on
real API).
This makes the recursion and subsequent stack overflow complete.
---
If you add DECLSPEC_HOTPATCH to all three mentioned user32 API those
LoadLibraryX API which cause the recursion don't get hooked, no stack overflow
occurs and the installer proceeds to show a dialog.
Unfortunately the dialog (that ought to be skinned) isn't redrawn possibly due
to other Wine bugs in user32.
You can drag it around and if you're lucky you can hit/click "next" button in
the dark.

ant agent backtrace (crash)
I tried Garmin ANT Agent 2.3.3 with wine 1.5.15. Installation went fine and
program runs, however it fails to see usb ant stick (physical usb-ant adapter).
I tried to make it work with wine by copying registry files from Win 7 pro 64
as specified on http://wiki.winehq.org/USB
After copying those registry values, program crashes. Wine says
Unhandled exception: unimplemented function cfgmgr32.dll.CM_Get_Device_ID_ExA
called in 32-bit code (0x7b83a372).
I did not try to apply any patches.

Hello folks,
found while verifying bug 33525
Prerequisite needed: 'winetricks -q dotnet20'
If you don't work around bug 15670 (.NET applications that make use
of System.IO.IsolatedStorage crash (missing "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\<UserSID>" registry subkey) the installer fails.
Restarting the installer gives you two options: "repair" and "remove".
"repair" actually does more harm than good...
Wait until the failure again (expected if bug 15670 workaround is not applied)
and dismiss the dialog error box.
Surprise - the whole installation - has been dumped into the directory where
the installer was run from ... probably not intended.

Shadow Era installs perfectly (in a clean prefix), but after completing the log

the fatal error "GetThreadContext failed". Sometimes it will even complete
without incident (and then the game works perfectly). Quite possibly related to

If the windows version is changed to XP, Powerpoint will open properly and
appears to run as it did in 1.3.6.

it because it had stopped. I, too, thought at first that it was hanging, until
I noticed a dotnet icon in my system tray. Clicking on it brought up the
message from the installer that dotnet had been installed, and when I closed
that dialog, the winetricks script completed, reporting success. It seems the
final notification window is minimizing itself for some reason."
Just ran into this myself with wine-1.3.1.

cd ~/"drive_c/Program Files/Microsoft Visual Studio 8/Common7/Tools"
wine cmd
and then, in cmd,

'winetricks vcrun2005' works around this, and the executable produces

Annoyingly, regardless of /Zi or /Z7, I didn't get a good stack dump

The game Caesar IV does not load... I have followed instructions from a similar
bug when I encountered an error with what I'm guessing is directX support (the
instructions were:
# In the install folder's 'Support/DirectX' folder, extract d3dx9_29.dll by
running 'cabextract Feb2006_d3dx9_29_x86.cab', then copy d3dx9_29.dll to Wine's
'windows/system32' directory (usually ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32)
# Place msvcr71.dll in Wine's 'windows/system32' directory
Having done this, I now get a lot further in the output in console, but the
game still does not load. I will attach the console output.

System: Ubuntu 10.04 / Wine 1.3.1 (binary from ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa)
Anzio is a terminal emulator program.
Up to version Anzio version 16.0 it worked fine with Wine (1.1.x, 1.2, 1.3.1)
I tried upgrading to the latest version (16.2) and this will raise an error
and is then terminated (works fine in Windows).
I'm experiencing the same issue with Wine versions 1.1.42, 1.2, 1.3.1.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Download and install (9MB)
http://www.anzio.com/pub/anzio16/anziowinsetup.exe
Installation completes w/o any error.
2) Click on the desktop icon, you are requested to choose a language, choose
English, then see the error (EExternalException in module ntdll.dll ...)
I'm attaching the terminal output and the debug output (bzipped) for wine
versione 1.3.1 (if this is something you can resolve it would be nice to get
this solved in 1.2 too, if not even in 1.1.x).

There is a similar bugreport: 21109

not!

Hi,
i'am trying to start a VMWare ThinApp Application e.g. FreeCommander.exe
wine ./FreeCommander.exe. The error Message is:
Executable 'C:\Program Files\FreeCommander\FreeCommander.exe' had the following
unrecoverable error:
Unable to open C:\Program Files\FreeCommander\FreeCommander.exe
Looks like this is with all ThinApps. I also tested Firefox.exe and
IrfanView.exe.
It would be nice, if wine could have support for ThinApps.
Thank you.

OutputDebugString seems to be "invisible" to other apps in wine, it just prints
a message to the terminal. I saw a mailing list discussion about this problem
but I got the impression this wasn't going to be changed anytime soon (because
it's "good enough"). Well, it isn't.
As wrong as it may be, some programs rely on parsing other programs debug
output, and this breaks down in wine. The specific application I'm having
trouble with is FF7Music, some hack that uses debug output to replace the music
in Final Fantasy VII.
A fix for this would be greatly appreciated.

Screenshot of problem when trying to reuse command
I know there is already a bug open regarding noisy fixmes, but it's these two
in particular I am referring to:
fixme:ntdll:NtPowerInformation Unimplemented NtPowerInformation action: 16
fixme:powrprof:DllMain (0x7e680000, 0, 0x1) not fully implemented
These two fixmes are a real pain.
For example, in a command prompt:
1. Type out 'WINEDLLOVERRIDES="blah,foo,bar=n,b" WINEDEBUG="+doo,+dah"
foo.exe&>/tmp/helloworld.log' and run.
2. Exit the application.
3. Press up arrow to repeat command, but backspace to edit part of the command.
4. This happens:
'WINEDLLOVERRIDES="blah,foo,bar=n,b" WINEDEBUG="+doo,+dah"
foo.exe&>/tmp/hfixme:powrprof:DllMain (0x7e680000, 0, 0x1) not fully
implemented
Maybe it's just my bash (which is actually dash - Ubuntu) but the fixme can not
be deleted and I have to CTRL+C to make any sense of what I'm typing again.
The fixmes appear multiple times and can often take me by surprise. This is
irritating.
The fixmes still appear after running wineserver -k and even if
WINEDEBUG=fixme-all is in the command line.
These fixmes are fairly useless, can they be silenced?

flawlessly).
At some state in git it stopped working.
Maybe I should have reported that a bit earlier but I am still a bit unsure
about reporting bugs.
Please let me now what information you need.
I will try to find out what patch introduced that regression.
For the tests I used a fresh .wine dir.
While I checked back for wine-1.0 and forgot to remove .wine after a
succsessfully run I found out, that the program will run on current git, when
it first has been run via wine-1.0.

I guess this can be forwarded to wintrust.SoftpubInitialize, so i tried. Then
ran into various other unimplemented functions in softpub.dll, like
SoftpubLoadMessage and SoftpubLoadSignature etc
Could someone who knows something about softpub have a look, and see if and
what can be forwarded? That might get this app a bit further.

'File' menu). It crashes in NtSetInformationThread. I've attached a
'+tid,+seh,+process,+thread' trace. I've added some traces to some functions
(diff is also attached).
This is all done on a clean .wine and with current GIT.

Summary: Microsoft Visual C++ Toolkit 2003 installer fails
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.55.
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Keywords: download, Installer, patch
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: ntdll
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com
I downloaded Microsoft Visual C++ Toolkit 2003 long ago.
The installer is VCToolkitSetup.exe, size 32952488, sha1sum
956c81c3106b97042c4126b23c81885c4b5211f4, edonkey checksum
ed2k://|file|VCToolkitSetup.exe|32952488|c534888fa7605403dcb183d2d15282d1|/
Installing it crashed with "Unhandled Exception: StackOverflowException."
=>1 0x7ef82b41 check_actctx+0x11(h=<?>) [wine-git/dlls/ntdll/actctx.c:574] in
ntdll (0x0034f928)
while running C:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\RegSvcs.exe
The patch at
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10134#c17
got past this.
The next problem was another crash,
Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0xfc91f030 in 32-bit code
(0x7e48f819).
=>1 0x7e48f819 apts+0x1() in ole32 (0x0034f9d0)
The patch at
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10134#c18
got past that, and let the installer complete.
I was then able to compile and link a "Hello, World" program with
$ cd ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Microsoft Visual C++ Toolkit 2003
$ wine bin/cl.exe hello.c -I include -link /libpath lib/libc.lib
lib/oldnames.lib lib/kernel32.lib
I'm filing this bug mainly to focus some attention on
these two tiny little patches. Let's get them cleaned up
and committed!

Microsoft Dynamics GP installer comparision screenshot
Using current Git, when the NBC Direct installer is run, it attempts to satisfy
certain prerequisites for NBC Direct, one of which is the Windows Installer
3.1. Due to bugs 5351 and 10698, the Windows Installer 3.1 redist cannot be
installed. The NBC Direct installer's requirement of installing Windows
Installer 3.1 seemingly shouldn't happen, since when unrelated application
Microsoft Dynamics GP demo (from http://www.microsoft.com/dynamics/gp) is run,
it detects Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1 prerequisite as already installed.
No relevant output is noted.

I know that IE is not your favorite app. However, many apps still need native

This commit is also the cause for Bug 16425.

Summary: ComboBoxEx doesn't process WM_ENABLE properly
Product: Wine
Version: 1.3.25
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: comctl32
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: lightning_uk(a)imgburn.com
Created an attachment (id=35721)
--> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=35721)
Test / Demo App
Unlike ComboBox, ComboBoxEx doesn't appear to process WM_ENABLE properly.
Its 'look' never changes from the initial one - be that enabled or disabled.
So if it's disabled when created, it'll stay looking disabled even after you've
enabled it. If it's enabled when created, it'll stay looking enabled even after
you've disabled it.
If disabled when created, you can't interact with it (get it to drop down etc)
even when you've supposedly enabled it.
The above can be fixed by handling WM_ENABLE in COMBOEX_WindowProc.
Something like the following does the trick (idea taken from combo.c)...
case WM_ENABLE:
if( infoPtr->hwndEdit )
EnableWindow( infoPtr->hwndEdit, (BOOL)wParam );
EnableWindow( infoPtr->hwndCombo, (BOOL)wParam );
/* Force the control to repaint when the enabled state changes. */
InvalidateRect(infoPtr->hwndSelf, NULL, TRUE);
return TRUE;
Once that has been added, you see another problem with the control...
When disabled, it doesn't draw the contents of the combobox - compared to
Windows (Vista/7 anyway), that's wrong.
Windows greys the control (drop down arrow etc) out but the image+text remain
visible and 'normal' colour.
That can be fixed by commenting out the following line in COMBOEX_DrawItem
if (!IsWindowEnabled(infoPtr->hwndCombo)) return 0;
I've added a demo app attachment that shows the problem with ComboBoxEx. You
should notice that if you press the 'Enable' button before the 'Show' button,
the ComboBoxEx control looks and behaves differently to if you press 'Show' and
then 'Enable'.
There's a traditional ComboBox on the form too just for comparison.

oleaut32 patch
To reproduce:
wine ngen asiduvaoisduvbaios
The expected behaviour is HRESULT 0x80070002 (file not found), while we get
E_INVALIDARG. The E_INVALIDARD is because of some garbage provided to
SetPriorityClass.
There is a bug in either oleaut32's serialize_param or deserialize_param -
serialize_param treats VT_USERDEFINED/TKIND_RECORD as inline data, while
deserialize_param makes of it a pointer to an allocated buffer. As the VT_PTR
is absent, I would except the first is correct (also it seems this is what ngen
is expecting). The attached patch makes the class sent to SetPriorityClass
constant - always 0xffffffff.
This is still incorrect. The native SetPriotityClass ignores incorrect flags,
so maybe we should just return TRUE, but it could be another bug e.g. in
oleaut32.

I don't know if it's because of the installer it uses, but take a look through
the pictures and you can see that it doesn't install into the correct
directory, and at the end of the install you only get an uninstall.exe in the
Default folder. By the way, the Default install path for this program is
Program files/SpeedProject/SpeedCommander 12/ instead of this wierd Program
Files/Default. I have tried manually changing the install directory to the
correct one but it never copies the correct file into the folder. I have
attached all pics from the install process for reference. Not sure if this
install is tied to the bug from 11490. Thank you.

Motherboard has VIA Sound on board, disabled in BIOS. ALSA default set to use
CA0106 and is working well in Gnome. WINE Audio Setup is configured to use
ALSA. Wave Out Devices list VIA 8237, but not CA0106. Running WINE Apps have
sound coming out of Disabled VIA device and not the CA0106. ALSA is the only
enabled sound option.
OSS Option lists C-Media Electronics CMI9761A+, which I believe is normally the
driver for many on board audio chip sets like the VIA set. With OSS Selected
as the only sound option, apps in WINE also have sound coming out of the
disabled VIA device and not the CA0106 device.

Patched search.c file from wine/dlls/wldap32
In the company where I work we use our own internal software written in .NET
2.0. This software authenticates users using LDAP. When I was trying to run
this software under Ubuntu 9.04 using WINE 1.26 authentication always failed. I
started debugging the problem and I found that a .NET API call to
"System.DirectoryServices.Protocols.LdapConnection.SendRequest(DirectoryRequest
request)" throws an exception. A debug was also printed on the console log says
that "A bad parameter was passed to a routine". According to this website -
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa367014%28VS.85%29.aspx - it is the
error message representation of the LDAP_PARAM_ERROR return code from WinLDAP
library.
I was digging further and I found that in WINE "SendRequest(DirectoryRequest
request)" method calls "ldap_search_extW()" WINE API function
(http://source.winehq.org/source/dlls/wldap32/search.c#L238). This function
calls ldap_search_ext from OpenLDAP API. A quick look in the source code
(http://www.openldap.org/devel/cvsweb.cgi/~checkout~/libraries/libldap/searc…)
and I got it - see ldap_pvt_search():
if( timeout != NULL ) {
if( timeout->tv_sec == 0 && timeout->tv_usec == 0 ) {
return LDAP_PARAM_ERROR;
}
I went back to 'ldap_search_extW()'. Here it is: the 'tv_sec' member of 'struct
timeval tv' is always filled with the value of timelimit argument, even if this
value is 0. Then the address of the structure is ALWAYS passed to
'ldap_search_ext()'. As a consequence (see above) LDAP_PARAM_ERROR is returned.
If we make a change in call to 'ldap_search_ext()' and pass NULL as timeout
argument when 'timelimit' is 0 instead of passing 'tv' structure address
everything works perfectly. I think this is how this 'timelimit' argument is
handled in WinLDAP library.
And what's the most important, this solves the problem of authentication in my
company's software.

Hello everybody,
In the Netherlands its very popular by average non expert computer users to use
special software to make photo albums and upload them to a shop that prints
them out. This popular software is build for Microsoft Windows, and is a real
bottleneck for converting people to a Linux distribution.
I tried to get the software to run with Wine, but it does not work with a
standard Wine installation under Debian GNU/Linux unstable branch.
The download location of the executable in question can be found here:
http://www.fotodeklijne.nl/index.php?option=com_phocadownload&view=category…
I would really appreciate it if somebody can get this working out of the box
with a standard wine installation.
Please see the attachments for the complete log.
Thanks in advance,
Jelle de Jong
