if you only set msvcp100 to native and leave msvcr100 as builtin, the app won't
crash, but the texture doesn't render. That's a separate issue, and I don't
really want to file a bug with mixed native/builtin components.

GRAW demo terminal output
After installation the game starts in full screen mode by default. When
starting a new game one can observe that most of the textures are missing from
the game (see the upcoming screenshots).
Workaround: you have to switch between full screen and windowed mode in the
Options->Video menu (the idea was stolen off the AppDB page:
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=9999).
Even if you selected windowed mode previously, the next time you start the
game, the problem is there again. So you have to switch modes *twice* (windowed
-->full screen -->windowed).
Tried with Wine-1.1.35, 1.2.3, 1.3.x: all the same.
Native d3dx9_* dlls don't help.
Can be reproduced in the demo too (requires physx).

This is a trivial, but long-standing bug. I was aware of the problem since the
1.3.x versions, but always forgot to report it. Now the time has come to do a
regression test.
The problem: text on the first page of certain installers (Installshield)
appears as if it was highlighted (white characters on black background).
The problem can be reproduced with the attached demo (Hostile Waters: Anteus
Rising).
HostileWatersDemo.exe
md5sum: 38755ee5fedd0eb91d2c66937c8b5c78
According to my testing, the problem appeared in Wine 1.3.35 and is still
present in 1.5.10.
The result of the regression test:

Summary: msvcp100 missing _J versions of several functions
Product: Wine

AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org

Classification: Unclassified
Given the program y.cc and a 32 bit system:
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
int main() {
char name[256];
cout << "Enter your name: ";
cin.getline (name, 256);
cout << "Your name is " << name << endl;
return 0;
}
Compile this with Visual C++ and /MD, and run it with wine.
With Visual C++ 2005, it works fine.
with Visual C++ 2010, it crashes with
wine: Call from 0x7ecac7e2 to unimplemented function
msvcp100.dll.?width@ios_base@std@@QBE_JXZ, aborting
mscodescan reports it imports following stubs from msvcp100:
?getline@?$basic_istream@DU?$char_traits@D@std@@@std@@QAEAAV12@PAD_J@Z
?sputn@?$basic_streambuf@DU?$char_traits@D@std@@@std@@QAE_JPBD_J@Z
?width@ios_base@std@@QAE_J_J@Z
?width@ios_base@std@@QBE_JXZ
The similar imports for the version built with visual C++ 2005 are:
$ winedump -j import y.exe | egrep 'getline|putn|width' | awk '{print $2}' |
sort
?getline@?$basic_istream@DU?$char_traits@D@std@@@std@@QAEAAV12@PADH@Z
?sputn@?$basic_streambuf@DU?$char_traits@D@std@@@std@@QAEHPBDH@Z
?width@ios_base@std@@QAEHH@Z
?width@ios_base@std@@QBEHXZ
Evidently, Visual C++ 2010 uses _J instead of H throughout in those imports.

I enabled force feedback in StarLancer and launched the game with wine
Lancer.exe. When the game loads/runs it's fine until you get into a mission.
The 3d scene loads fine and the audio plays but as soon as you begin to launch
which normally causes a force feedback rumble effect the game crashes out to
the command line. If you disable force feedback with the same joystick and
rerun the game you can get into the mission fine and play it normally. The
joystick is a Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 and the force feedback
drivers are enabled in the kernel as per the instructions on force feedback in
wine.

I have tried to install Steam with wine 1.5.10 and am not able to as I cannot
see certain fonts (so i cannot see text)
As a test I downgraded to 1.5.8 and the issue is not present.
This is the same on Arch Linux (64) and Kubuntu 12.04 - both 1.5.10 the issue
is present, with 1.5.8 its gone...
See screen shot to see the issue.

The newest (probably beta) Steam in Wine 1.5.10
A new (probably beta since I'm subscribed to beta updates) update has just
arrived in Steam and it has rendered Steam useless - fonts are not rendered at
all.
It's not a regression in Wine, it's a change in Steam that has broken
everything.

After an upgrade of wine to 1.5.10 the steam browser now fails to show any text
at all, and produces storms of error messages. Makes launching games tricky...
though surprisingly enough, not impossible.
I've attached the wine output from starting and then exiting steam. A *lot* of
messages, most of them are new.

Still in 1.5.10. Also affects Delphi 7 itself when minimizing forms or code
windows. In virtual desktop mode they are minimized to large icons as per
comment 14. In standard mode they disappear completely.
Interestingly, the windows reappear when I switch to another KDE desktop and
back. However, their content is not repainted and I can see the background
through them.

Also affects Delphi 7 - when text in object inspector does not fit in window, a
tooltip is displayed when mouse is moved over it. In Wine the object inspector
window can't be accessed behind that tooltip. In Windows clicking the tooltip
focuses the field behind it.

Still got it in 1.4.1, using Lotus Organizer 6 retail (org6.exe). Without the
'start', it lists several missing DLLs (all present in
~/.wine/drive_c/lotus/org6/compnent). With the 'start', it works fine.
(On Mac OS X 10.7.4, using MacPorts wine @1.4.1 (x11). Haven't tried wine-devel

It is possible that this is both a code change in R (to provide 64-bit file

mingw-based to mingw-x64 based.
Can these two unimplemented functions be implemented quickly? It is possible
such a problem will be more frequent sine it looks like mingw-w64 is gaining
ground compared to mingw, for a variety of reasons.

Summary: [regression] Very low 2d effects quality in Dead Space
on fglrx.
Product: Wine
Version: 1.3.7
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: directx-d3dx9
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: NightNord(a)gmail.com
CC: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
Screenshots and logs attached. Regression from 1.3.6 to 1.3.7. All newer
versions (tested up to 1.3.11) inherits it.
This is tested on
ati-drivers-10.12, HD4570.
kernel: 2.6.37
Registry tweaks:
orm=fbo (Dead Space won't work at any other orm= settings. This is default,
BTW)
In-game settings: any, from lowest to highest without Decals.
This could be just some "better" effect realization (still, it can't be
switched off via in-game settings), if INTZ supported, but fglrx messing it up,
or, maybe, some other error arises.
Result of regression testing:

I've been running a xulrunner based application called Evergreen under wine for
about a year with no issues. I do this because it requires an old xulrunner
and I run bleeding edge Arch Linux. After the 1.5.9 upgrade fonts render
erratically.
Here is the app: http://open-ils.org/downloads/evergreen-setup-2.2.0.exe

If run from the command line I get lots of these errors:

or alternatively:

The update for the game rappelz changes the embedded html regularly to update
the progress bar and seems to spend most of it's cpu time on that which seems
to slow the downloading. By using oprofile I found it is spending most of it's
cpu on "if(iter->nsnode == nsnode)" in get_node(...) from
dlls/mshtml/htmlnode.c . The comment above the function already suggests: "We
should use a better data structure or (better) find a way to store
HTMLDOMelement poiner in nsIDOMNode."

clicking on "Tools" will open a drop-down menu (see attached screenshot). When

move the mouse pointer to "Plugins" the menu closes. Thus this entry cannot be

Firefox 3.6 on FreeBSD. Rough, text and mangled graphics. Appears to be a alpha
transparency problem perhaps. Using FreeBSD 8.0, Wine 1.1.38 from winehq. SAme
problem exists in the port . Other bugs also observed such as the fact windows
do not close, and the fact that HTML forms do not work, which is already
described in other reports. All features worked well in wine 1.1.14 under
freebsd 7.1 . This is a regression. Firefox is presently unuseable.

The movies themselves play fine, although slow at specific times (nothing like
the Sid Meyer Alpha Centauri/Gothic 2 movies, that are VERY slow).
The end slideshow (that i don't think is a movie) is a black screen with sound,
that sometimes, for a fraction of a second - much too little for my brain to
form a complete picture - displays the underlying image.
I played with toee patched to version 2 and the circle of Eight "6.0.0" NC
(new content) patch
Using a virtual desktop hasn't much effect.
I have a save available before the ending, but am unsure that it would load
without installing the unofficial patch and setting the same options (at least
increase the level cap to 20). I attach it anyway. It is to go into
"game/modules/ToEE/Save", after the unoffical patch is installed and
configured. To trigger the endgame, take the gems in the chair in front of you.
You will not need to fight.

Screenshot of the toolbar after hovering over some buttons
The toolbar in ImgBurn's disc layout editor gets corrupted after switching to

The very first time you start AoE2 Trial, you have to create a new player.
When the dialog box asking for the player's name appears, the upper half of the
screen turns white/blank (see attached screenshot).
Interestingly, this happens only the first time: if you dismiss the dialog by
clicking on <Cancel>, then go back to the main menu and click on <Single
Player> again, the white screen issue no longer occurs (until you restart the
game). Also, if you already created at least one player, the problem doesn't
occur. You can remove any existing players from the options menu to reproduce
the problem any time.
This seems to be a regression from the git version, since the problem doesn't
happen with Wine 1.5.9 or earlier:

Repro steps:
1. Get latest wine (i've used latest snapshot from git) and windows premium
client (it's very likely that classic client is affected too, but i din't test
it) from http://www.eve-online.com/download/windows.asp, install them
2. Launch EVE (premium or classic graphic mode - doesn't matter, i've tested
both)
3. Switch focus from game and return it back (i've tried both windowed and
fullscreen, it doesn't matter)
4. Repeat step 3 if game wasn't affected
Game crashes (20%) or hangs (80% - sound doesn't stop when game hangs) when i
restore focus back to it (_not_ on focus loss) with the following messages in
console (3 different instances):

It doesn't include any info on Stackless IO though:

client-side - 30th sep with EA 1.1.1 patch):

I don't see any serious technological changes in EA 1.1.1 patch except for

changed something w/o informing us).

Dear all,
I have not found a similar bug report neither with respect to pdf-xchange nor
to wine, so I would be very glad if someone with pdf-xchange under wine could
reproduce it: Just open the pdf under the following link and tell me whether
the text overlaps for you, both the columns, text and figures and individual
characters:
http://treephys.oxfordjournals.org/content/19/7/435.full.pdf
The file displays fine in evince, but is garbled as described above in
PDFXCHANGE VIEWER (2.5, Build 197.0) under wine (1.2.2-0ubuntu6).
Thanks for your help!

If bug 24020 were fixed, this would be a purist bug.
Not sure why, but with today's git and builtin msvcp90, the LOL downloader
crashes and starts the bugsplat reporter (which puts up
a dialog saying it was expecting argument 'c').
To reproduce, work around bug 22152 as usual with
GC_DONT_GC=1 bug LeagueofLegends.exe
winetricks vcrun2008 makes the problem go away. Setting msvcp90 to builtin
makes it come back.

The radar image is only drawn when the window is maximized. When maximized,
the window that displays the radar images is offset up and to the left and
draws over toolbars, menus and other windows when it redraws. The point where
the mouse pointer is and where the click is effective is offset up and to the
left of the actual mouse position. The mouse offset appears to match the

Screenshots are attached, descriptions from top to bottom:
1. Non-maximized window, a radar image should be displayed, but is not. You
can see the toolbar that is normally covered by the offset image.
2. Normal view with radar image offset and toolbar covered
3. Shows active window being overwritten by radar image

The demo runs well in general.
When you start it, it shows a couple logo movies, then says
"Press any key to continue"
In Windows, you can press a key, and it will continue.
In Wine, pressing a key does nothing.
In either, clicking the mouse will in fact get you past this screen,
so this isn't exactly a critical problem.
But I noticed something interesting: if you wait a minute in that screen,
an attract movie will show. You can cancel the attract movie by pressing
escape
in Windows. In Wine, however, pressing escape does nothing... until you
click the mouse. After you click the mouse once, escape now works.
So it seems that on Wine, but not Windows, this game ignores the keyboard
until there's a mouse click.

Hello,
MagicISO (application to manage disc images) is a quite complex app with nice
interface. It works properly on Windows, but on Wine the interface redrawing is
very slow.
I can see every icon popping up on the screen, and every menu entry drawn one
by one (btw menu is draw twice).
Wine shows no errors at all, application works perfectly (which is IMHO -
MAGIC).

When playing X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter, a crash is produced when entering the

start the game and enter any mission with no problem, but once the mission
terminates a stack trace (attached) is produced on entering a new mission.

gdiplus: Retrieve LOGFONT from a GpFont using GdipGetLogFontW instead of
accessing it directly.
It seems it's valid to call GdipAddPathString with a negative font size. This
fails now because GdipCreateFont doesn't accept a negative font size, but I
don't know if it's correct for GdipAddPathString to call GdipCreateFont.
I can provide a compiled version of the System.Drawing tests if that would
help.

This bug applies to two games by Wihlborg Entertainment, Piranha Panic and
SinkSub Pro. Demo versions can be downloaded from
http://www.wihlborg.se/piranha_panic.html and
http://www.wihlborg.se/sinksub_pro.html
Piranha Panic works in Windows 3.1 and later. SinkSub Pro works in Windows 95
and later. There are possibly two problems which may be connected:
- Most graphics are rendered upside-down.
- Graphics are not refreshed properly.
The installers work okay, albeit complaining about not being able to create a
program group.
After starting Piranha Panic, notice the "garbage" which appears on-screen.
Drag the window mostly off-screen and back again. Doing that forces the window
contents to refresh and the upside-down text appears.

The Silverlight installer does not appear to install an empty folder that is
needed by PlayReady (populated with "mspr.hds" the first time PlayReady is
used). Netflix will nearly load (it gets to 98%) if you manually create the
necessary folder:
mkdir -p ~/.wine/drive_c/users/Public/Application\ Data/Microsoft/PlayReady
I assume the problem is in MSI somewhere, but I haven't had a chance to
investigate yet.

installed alsa 32bit drivers/plugins

Wine Version: 1.5.9, provided by Ubuntu Wine Team PPA
Bug Description:
When attempting to run the full game, The Witcher 2 starts normally, loads into
menu screen, and creates a new game without any notable glitches, bugs, or
stalls. However, once a new game or tutorial is started, all textures and
models in game are surrounded by a blue "fog" that makes the game unplayable.
This has been tested on each of the application-provided graphics settings
(i.e. Low/Medium/High/Ultra) and using variable permutations of the Nvidia
graphics driver settings (e.g. VSync on/off, allow OpenGL flipping, etc.)
A screenshot demonstrating the bug is attached.
How to Reproduce:
1) Download The Witcher 2:Enhanced Edition from GOG (version as of July 21st is
3.2)and install using provided .exe using wine

The game, configuration, installer, etc. all run fine otherwise.
Notes:
While searching for this bug, I noted that a number of ATI users in Windows
were experiencing something like this bug, and the solution for them involved
disabling driver settings that override application settings. This was
attempted using the Nvidia proprietary driver configuration utility, but the
bug remained.
Thank you.

Fonts are not smoothly rendered with subpixel rendering.
Subpixel rendering only works on Textboxes and only if you first hove with your
mouse over it.
See this (magnified) screenshot as an example:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/13281067/wine-subpixel-rendering-office2010.png
I hovered with the mouse over the "fonts" textfield, and you can see it has
blue and red pixels arround it and gets rendered nice. The text in the rest of
the programm is only rendered in shades of grey without subpixel rendering.
This is a huge readablility and usablility problem! Please fix!

Although i understand need for desktop integration with various DEs,
this little fucker is consistently stealing file associations for me every
update. There are no priorities to set or anything. Also i really don't care, i
use wine only to run occasionally stubborn windows software.
I use several file managers which respect this mime crap registration and thus
wine is making my computer unusable (talk about instant slowdown and 100% CPU
usage, wondering what happened) everytime i want to work with any file with
more common extension. Crappy wine software is started instead of native
application.
There should be big fat checkbox "Disable desktop integration completely" on
"Desktop Integration" tab in winecfg dialog application to disable
winemenubuilder completely and forever.
This setting should be checked by default upstream, e.g. integration disabled
(so direct upstream users like archlinux, don't have to mess with this setting
ever to make their association work again after each and possibly frequent
update).
Pressing "Apply" button in winecfg when state changes from unchecked to checked
should remove all the winebuilder mime crap, zilliards of *.desktop files and
other "necessary" desktop integration tidbits.
When winemenubuilder is invoked as a part of whatever process and this setting
is enabled it should kill itself immediately, best before doing anything
damaging.
Most importantly this setting must be preserved during updates. Also, as ws
said above, it should be disabled by default, so users are not subjected to
this crap, when they decide to create new wine profile for example eg ~/.wine
equivalent, unless distribution changes this by specific tweak.

That doesn't mean that Wine is written specifically for NVIDIA's drivers.
Mesa's r600g drivers also works well with Wine, and likely others.

I cannot reproduce your positive results with proprietary NVIDIA drivers which
support OpenGL 3.2, thus I'm inclined to delete your AppDB results as knowingly
false.
OpenGL renderer string: GeForce 8800 GT/PCIe/SSE2
OpenGL version string: 3.3.0 NVIDIA 304.22
OpenGL shading language version string: 3.30 NVIDIA via Cg compiler
The 3DMark 2005 in my case says: "Your hardware does not support the features
required to run 3DMark05. Pixel Shader 2.0 (or higher) is one of these..."
Out of the box Wine is written with proprietary NVIDIA drivers in mind so it's
a very strange fluke on your side that the 3DMark 2005 works for you.
Can you post a screenshot of the main 3DMark 2005 window on, say,
http://imageshack.us/ ?

I have no problems to run 3DMark05 / 3dMark06 using wine 3DMark05.exe
-nosysteminfo. PS version 3.0 is detected. All tests are running.
Without -nosysteminfo an error message is shown, and 3DMark0x quits.

Bug #: 31242
Summary: Dota 2: dense fog all over the map
Product: Wine
Version: 1.5.9
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: directx-d3d
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: cephryx(a)gmx.net
Classification: Unclassified
Created attachment 41037
--> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=41037
totally fogged map
Since wine 1.5.9, Dota 2 looks as seen in the attached screenshot. For what it
actually should look like, see http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=40782.
The game is now completely unplayable because the player can hardly see
anything. This is a regression report.
The bug was not present in 1.5.8 (though in 1.5.8 the game was unplayable from
a performance point of view due to http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30986
which was fixed in 1.5.9).
I attached a log file including Steam and subsequent Dota 2 startup. It
contains various "fixme:d3d:debug_d3dformat Unrecognized" and
"fixme:d3d:wined3d_get_format" entries that were not present in previous wine
versions (though I don't know whether or not this hints to the bug's actual
cause).
For a comparison to startup logs on wine 1.5.7, see the attachments of
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31071.
My configuration:
wine-1.5.9 compiled from git (using "1.5.9"-tagged commit) using a new prefix,
GeForce GTX 260, nvidia driver 302.17, Xubuntu 12.04 x64 (xfwm4.10.0), kernel
3.2.0-26-generic

Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown

Using the patch on the AppDB, I got Need for Speed underground 2 to work. But
in the loading screen, it sometimes hangs (every 2nd time maybe, its totally
random). The loading animation continues, but it doesnt load anything. No
output on the console.
When I randomly get across the loading screen, everything works perfectly, but
sometimes it just doesnt load anything and continues to load forever. So its
unplayable.
Also affects the demo of the game, available for download here:

Unhandeled exception
I'm using Wine-1.1.30 on Fedora 11 32 bit.
Steps to reproduce:
1) start AutoCAD 2009
2) draw e.g. triangle
3) select triangle with selecting window (it doesn't matter green or blue)
4) get Unhandeled exception window
This happens only when you do that first time. To repeat that I must start
AutoCAD 2009 again.
Translation for window in attachment:
WyjÄ…tek w poleceniu -> Exception in command
Nieobsłużony wyjątek -> Unhandeled exception

I had MS Office 2010 Word, PPT and Excel working reasonably well under

Updating to WINE 1.5.7 has broken Office apps - after updating applications
won't start giving an error message "Microsoft Office cannot verify the license
for this product. You should repair the Office program by using Control
Panel."
I cannot seem to revet to wine 1.5.6 to verify that this will fix the
problem...

Up to wine 1.5.6, the game Audiosurf [1] worked fine on my system (Debian
testing amd64, Linux 3.2, AMD Radeon HD 3200, fglrx 12-4, wine compiled
myself). However, after updating to version 1.5.7, the game is rendered
unplayable: The menus are still fine, but the actual game runs with less than 5
fps. Sound is still as expected, but of course that's of no help.
I did a bisect with the following result:

I hope I added the correct person to CC - the email address from the commit
does not have an account here, so I googled around a bit to find out which
email address the author uses in bugzilla.
Please let me know if there is any other debugging I could do.

MS Office 2010 was installed fine. Word and Excel function optimally.
Powerpoint can open but after a few moments, it crashes and is forced to quit.
Setting riched20.dll to native doesn't resolve the issue.

The problem can be reproduced with the Steam version of the game as well as
with the non-Steam demo version.
Evochron Mercenary hangs immediately after starting, without displaying
anything. I tested the game without a joystick or gamepad installed (only
keyboard + mouse). The same problem with Wine 1.2.3, 1.4.
The attached file contains 3 logs: a plain terminal output, a backtrace
generated by winedbg while the game is unresponsive, and a +tid,+dinput log
containing only a few lines.
It may be a known bug, but I wasn't lucky enough to find a matching bug report.
Workaround: winetricks dinput8
With native dinput8.dll the game can be started, although other issues arise
later.

Bug #: 31191
Summary: All 'Sona Hanabira ni Kuchizuke wo' games fail to
start because of wine buggy string compare
implementation.
Product: Wine
Version: 1.5.8
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: kernel32
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: ntrrgc(a)gmail.com
Classification: Unclassified
The engine of Sona Hanabira (among other many games) does use indexed container
files for retrieving game resources.
Having a key of type string, it performs binary search within the index to find
the resource pointers.
But, because of buggy string compare APIs implementation in wine (mainly
StringCompare and StringCompareEx, which are called by lstrcmp and lstrcmpi),
comparison returns wrong values, and the seek fail.
At the moment, wine is just comparing DUCET values of each character (which is
wrong in very many cases), and ignoring several possibilities of StringCompare
API (like IGNORE_KANATYPE, i.e.). Some of them may apply to this bug, some may
not. Anyway, it is broken.
For Sona Hanabira games, a workaround is to use this patcher which reorder
index entries in the way Wine currently (wrongly) look for them:
http://vn.i-forge.net/tools/#sono+hanabira+ni+kuchizuke+wo±+linux+wine+fix
This bug report is to (hopefully) avoid the need of that patch in the future.

Hi!
I've made a full clean up of the wine prefix using winetricks. After a
succesfull clean up, when i tried to run Wine once again, it ask me to install
wine-gecko but it crashes when it was installing it. after that when i try to
use winetricks is didn't loads anymore. I have tried by using a clean ".wine"
folder but nothing happens. After several tries with different work arounds,
i've decided to delete Wine and install it again with "sudo aptitude
--purge-unused purge" to make sure everything was fully removed. When i proceed
to install Wine again, everything looks fine during the installation, but
winetricks still unable to load. I've also find that in the "drive C:" there's
only the "Windows" folder in there, and the "Program Files" folder is missing
with the others default folders and files too. By running "winecfg" shows that
there's no audio driver installed too, and i don't know everything looks messed
up. I have removed every trace of wine and install it again several times, but
those problems persist, specially with winetricks and also with wine-gecko,
that it seems to be installed but Wine seems to don't "recognize" them.
I'll attach a console output of what the command line "winetricks -v" shows.

Hello,
I have stumbled upon what I believe is a regression introduced somewhere
between 1.5.6 and 1.5.7. Starcraft II's behaviour is considerably worse since
1.5.7 - while FPS remains the same, the game is much less responsive, and even
moving the screen around one can feel quite a lot of jerkiness.
This problem persists with 1.5.8.
System info:
Arch Linux 64bit,
Linux 3.4.4
Mesa 8.0.3
Xorg 1.12.3
xf86-video-ati 1:6.14.6
works fine with wine 1.5.6 (and before)
works badly with wine 1.5.7 and 1.5.8
If you need me to test anything, shout.
Cheers,
Peter

AOM Gold - right clicking on objects will not make them glow/unglow
Normally they would glow and unglow to show which object you right clicked on,
but it's not doing that. Nor is it showing anything in the debug log.

If ~/.wine is created the first time Wine asks me first for the Mono package to
install and then for the Gecko package. I have aborted both requests but after
a few seconds Wine has asked me again to install the Gecko package.

In Mixcraft 5, under the same version of Wine, when I hit a note on my midi
piano, it registers, but this doesn't happen on Mixcraft 6. Probably a bug in
Mixcraft, but I figure it's possible this is a problem in wine.
