I followed an howto which makes me install time32.exe first. Then I launched the setup by invoking wine Setup.exe in the install CD1 of Adobe Photoshop CS2. The Adobe logo appeared, as well as the EULA and the installation menu. I choosed to install Photoshop CS2 and... it crashes. I am attaching the backtraces which appeared on the std output. I have searched bugzilla without finding a solution. I am using OpenSuSE 10.3 i386 (but it is the same with x86_64 version). I am not using compiz, but composite extension is enabled in xorg.conf. Office 2003 installed properly and is working under wine on the same computer. The installation of it went smoothly, but afterwards when I tried to use it for converting a ppt file, I received an error about an unimplemented function in atl.dll(the complete error log is attached). The commandline API is running, but when you try to use it for converting ppt files it will throw that exception. This tool requires office to be installed(97-2003), which I have installed, prior to using FlashSpring Server Edition, I thought that I haven't installed it correctly but after several reinstalls it still failed to work. Hopefully you guys might have an idea what can be done to make it work.. I'm not sure if that was there some months ago when I was looking for it. But I could have been blind then too. We just had a baby so I really can't make this my first priority. Is it still useful to do this now that it is so out of date and the bug is resolved? If so I will try to do it but it may take a long time as I'm pretty busy right now. Also, I'm planning to migrate my Eudora emails to the new Eudora 8 Penelope which is being combined with Mozilla Thunderbird and there is a native Linux version! If you'll recall I'm still using a very old version of this Eudora software 4.2. But I don't know when I'll have time to do that either, Penelope is still Alpha right now. Apparently they're changing a lot on the backend so transferring mailboxes is tricky right now. Almost easier to keep running it in WINE except I would eventually like my email integrated into other stuff a bit better and Penelope will obviously have modern up to date plugins and such. I just wanted to let you know that all the recent versions of WINE have not had this problem. For a while I had to not update and only use an old version (as I explained originally) but that has been resolved for at least a year now. I'm sorry I can't say exactly which version the problem resolved itself. There were a few other bugs in Eudora Pro under wine that I must admit I didn't report. One was very bad, if you sent an attachment Eudora would crash but not only that it would trigger a kernel bug where you could not kill the eudora.exe program until rebooting linux! Anyways, that also resolved itself though only more recently (Last few months when I upgraded from Dapper to Hardy Ubuntu) The remaining bug is that I can't cut and paste into the addressbook properly. however, cut and paste works in the normal email composer however. So it isn't serious otherwise I would report it as a seperate bug. That problem has been there in every version I've used along with some superficial rendering glitches of the UI. Trying to run the executable "zeus.exe" results in hundreds of garbage messages about "Missing pak or sav in Basic Tutorial 0". One shows up at first, and then if that is cleared more and more are generated. I went through a couple of hundred before I gave up. To replicate: Install from CD, attempt to launch with Wine 0.9.54.
