In case of timeout the first failure is always present but the second one may
not.
This happens on Windows 7 and Windows 10 1507, 1607 and 21H2 (with a much
higher frequency on the latter fgtb-w10pro64 VM). The other Windows VMs don't
seem to be impacted so it is likely that the timeout is caused by other BITS
activity (Windows Defender or Edge updates for instance) which interfere or not
depending on the amount to download and timing of the global WineTest run.

Terminal output using xorg
During game over game captures current screen and displays it in "Game Over"
screen. On Xorg everything works exactly as it should on Windows 7. Switching
to Wayland leads to screen capturing issue, where instead of expected game
screen a lot of noise and artefacts are captured. Game stores that screen in
separate file, so it is quite easy to see capture results.
Is this related to Wayland security issues, as capturing screen is not as easy
as on Xorg?

As game launcher is partially in Japanese, here are the instructions how to
configure controls to use directional pad:
- Run game launcher `action_mogura.exe`.
- Press "Key Config" button.
- In top right dropdown select second option to select gamepad instead of
keyboard.
- In second dropdown (top left) select "joypad1"
- Check the checkbox "POV入力を使用する" (use POV input, i.e. use D-PAD)
- Select action buttons
- Click "OK" and "RUN" to start the game and check if DPAD works. Going to menu
is enough to see if up/down controls are working.

--> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=72830
backtrace provided by wine itself
After installing the game, the game will randomly crash with page fault, as per
the attached file.
Some valuable mentions :
- I'm using i3wm, so, for some testings I've added some workspace assignments
to avoid "BadWindow" error.
- Sometimes the page fault occurs at the address 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF instead of
0x0000000000000000 . Depending on the wine version being used.
- For some versions of wine, I got the error "corrupted double-linked list".
- For some versions of wine, I got the error "double free" related do malloc (I
don't remember exactly the error message, but the default one when you try to
call free() twice).
- Wine custom version lutris-7.2-2-x86_64 lasts longer in-game before crashing.
- I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the graphics, because :
1. It lasts longer before crashing if you set graphics to min value
2. It crashes when attempting to increase the graphic settings in-game
- It STILL crashes on min graphics
- I got "malloc(): unsorted double linked list corrupted" after 20 mins
in-game, for example.
Related to "Compatibility Mode":
- "BadWindow" error still occurs in compatibility mode even when trying to set
a global regex. After checking by monitoring windows' names I had noticed that
it tries to open an unnamed window that may be the cause.
- Even when the "BadWindow" error does not occur in Compatibility mode I got
only black-screen/crash in-game.
System :
- Wine staging 7.14 (winehq mirror -
https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/debian/dists/)
- Lutris to enable DXVK, VKD3D and D3D extras.
- Debian testing
- Kernel 5.18.0-9.1-liquorix-amd64
- amdgpu (POLARIS 10)
- Program https://content.runescape.com/downloads/windows/RuneScape-Setup.exe
```sh
sha1sum RuneScape-Setup.exe
bee061914639601d7e602f9653f883bdac7da3a1 RuneScape-Setup.exe
```
PS : if you're wondering why using it instead of the native client... well...
dxvk gets up to 5x more FPS (twice as dx native) and the latency is a lot
better (at the native client it feels like 400ms of input lag). That's why.

The 3 crash modes all started happening at about the same time and seem to all
still be happening. So it is likely they all have the same cause.
The first Windows crash happened on 2022-07-05 and crashes are rare enough to
not happen every day. So it is possible that the crashes are caused by the
patch that fixed the Wine crashes (see bug 53201).

These failures can be reproduced on cw-rx46-1909, wc-gtx560-1909 and the
TestBot's w1064v1909:
https://test.winehq.org/data/patterns.html#conhost.exe:tty
They don't happen on Windows 10 1809 and lower because the test detects that
conhost.exe is broken there:
tty.c:1645: Tests skipped: Skipping tty output tests on broken Windows version
And the test succeeds on Windows 10 >= 2004 (or rather has unrelated failures).
So it looks like 1909 fell between the cracks and that the test should skip too
somehow.

Pegasus Mail is a critical program that I use on my only windows 98, and am
looking to move to complete linux. The regular email via port 25 and 110 seem
to work fine, but with accounts like gmail, one must use secure ports 995 and
465. Attempts to do this result in no trace file. I'm not clear if and how
these ports need to be activated in wine, or if some dll needs to be added.
There isn't any error message, it just fails with no trace information
available.

I have tried running this program in Bottles, directly on system wine and
PlayonLinux ( so I can use old Wine versions like 2.2.1-staging). The program
launches into its GUI but its GUI throws an error that I have not been able to
find an explanation for.
Fatal Application Error: #2111
Error #2032
In any way I launch it, it always goes to the GUI to show these errors but the
terminal errors change depending on how I launch it.
When launching it with system wine, I get these errors:

0070:fixme:imm:ImmReleaseContext (00010020, 007BB960): stub

Windows path detected. Avoiding validation.
002c:err:wineboot:process_run_key Error running cmd

When running it with PlayonLinux I get these errors:

Total War Shogun 2 uses the D3DX_FILTER_BOX filter to downscale it's textures.
Both during normal usage, but more critically, when it's VRAM budget is low or
over-committed.
This can be seen on Intel GPUs in the game's stderr output with a line similar
to:
---snip---
** Downsizing Textures, Over Budget by : 115 Mb
---snip---
Followed by (in wine-7.12 or older) or prior (in wine-7.13 or later) multiple
fixmes:
---snip---
0024:fixme:d3dx:D3DXLoadSurfaceFromMemory Unhandled filter 0x5.
---snip---
See also the attached log from wine-7.13.
As this filter is used for memory management in a 32bit game, it's
implementation would help alleviate some OOM errors.

While it looks very much like this is caused by network issues, it may be that
