Could you try to :
1) run in Synchronous mode (change the line 'Synchronous' = 'Y' in your config
file)
2) start with an 'easier' application than Kazaa (something like Notepad) and see
if it crashes too
3) try maybe to run in Desktop mode
If it still crashes, please attach to this bug report a compressed
'--debugmsg +relay,+seh' log plus the output of the debugger window.
By the way, which Wine version ?

The second patch solves the bug. Why not to apply to current wine version?
And te bug 1266 appear to be resolved, too.

I don't think it does, running winedbg with the console driver is just like
running gdb. Please try Wine CVS and see if this is fixed.

Could you send a trace of the program using:
wine --debugmsg +wave,+dsound program.exe >& trace
where program.exe is your program?
You could also try in the [dsound] section of the config:
"HardwareAcceleration" = "Emulation"
to see if it's a problem where the output is accelerated and the capture is not.

Summary: OpenGL apps textures don't show up with XFree4.3

Version: 20030318
Platform: PC

Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major

Component: wine-x11driver
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.com
ReportedBy: happyguy_pt(a)hotmail.com
Slack 8.1 with Dropline Gnome. GEF4 Ti4200 128Mb. NVidia latest (31 march) drivers.
If I compile wine against XFree4.2.1, I have textures in OpenGL games (i.e.
Counter Strike). If I compile against XFree4.3.0, I get no textures. Heard from
another person that it also happens with Unreal Tournament. This was tested with
20030115 and up.
Changing NVidia drivers does not help.
I don't want to downgrade XFree (still using 4.3). I'm available to recompile
and perform debug info generation to help in any way possible to solve this. If
necessary actions are too technical, I need a step-by-step or some other help,
as I don't know how to use gdb or winedbg.
Thank you!

Summary: Microphone not working on some apps (20030219 and
20030318)
Product: Wine
Version: 20030318
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: wine-binary
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.com
ReportedBy: happyguy_pt(a)hotmail.com
Have Slack 8.1 and using SBLive! with kernel 2.4.20 emu10k1 module.
Self-compiled wine from sources. If I use wine 20030115 the microphone works on
CounterStrike. With 20030219 and 20030318, mic doesn't work.
On the 20030318 I get error messages about OSS_WaveInInit and OS_WaveOutInit on
the console. Also that HEL will be used due to the impossibility to get access
to sound device.
But other emulated apps (strange enough, Half-Life microphone setup utility)
works well.
I'm back to using 20030115. But I'm available to perform compiles of other
versions and generate necessary info. If it is too technical, I will need
assistance (or a good step-by-step). I'm not a C/C++ coder and I don't know how
to use gdb oe winedbg. But I'm reasonably confortable using shell.
Thank you!

I tried the FreeBSD package.
But the DNS-lookup does still not work for me.
But "pkg_add" gave some warnings:

pkg_add: warning: package 'wine-2003.03.18' requires

Is this a problem? I don't think?

This isn't a Redhat bug, it's due to the move to NPTL threading. All new distros
are affected (mdk9.1, new suse, gentoo etc).
The Wine team are working hard to resolve this. The tracker bug will be updated
when it's fixed. Hold tight ;)

Did any other updates to your system take place between this time, in
particular, did you run up2date?
If not, then this is prolly a directsound regression, there have been quite a
few DSound changes lately. If so then I'll assign this to robert reif, as he's
done much of the work lately. Ideally, you would do a CVS regression trace,
could you do one of them?
