I submitted a patch to fix the MONITORINFOEX structs.
The IDL structs are a bit weirder though.

I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has gotten Sametime Connect to work on
wine. I'm using version 20021219 and when i execute
wine c:\\sametime\\connect.exe
it starts but seems to be hanging. I can bring up the preferences, but cannot
save anything or connect to the server. Everytime I click on a menu item I get
the following error
fixme:menu:TrackPopupMenuEx not fully implemented
if anyone can point me in the right direction to get this to work
thanks

Hi Dear,
I have success with games NFS3 and 4x4 and much more of course. I use Wine
version 20021219.i586.rpm and he works fine. I have problem only with my Wingman
Formula GP Wheel. When I start racing, my Wheel is go to the left and also all
pedals is simulated like it is pushed. Generaly I cannot use my Steering Wheel.
In configuration menu of Need for Speed 3, I see the system is recognized my
Wheel like Wine Joystick, but all x,y,z is going to left side. This i see also
in game 4x4. When I start some Linux games based on joystick, like Tux Racer, my
Steering Wheel is work perfekt. I can drive pinguin with Wheel and pedals, also
I can use buttons on the Wheel. May be I have to add some lines into my wine
configuration file ? My joystick (WingMan Formula GP) is connected to computer
via USB port, and Linux is recognized him. I use Linux Mandrake 9.0 Final.
Please help !
Best Regards,
Valentin Iliev

Well, if it's DX8 related, run a +ddraw,+d3d log and see if any lines appear
here... From what I see in this log, it may well crash before doing any DirectX
stuff.
And I won't do any work on ChangeDisplaySettings :-)
BTW, did you try starting your X server in 16 bpp ?

I can confirm the same error occurs with GCC 3.1 and glibc-2.2.4.
It is due to the nameless struct MONITORINFO which occurs in winuser.h.
A temporary hack is to define -DNONAMELESSSTRUCT in the ole/Makefile.
Doing this allows the compile to continue until it comes upon the next #include
of winuser.h. So far, I've found it occurs in tools/bin2res, tools/wrc, dlls/d3d8 and dlls/d3dx8
and dlls/opengl32.
Defining NONAMELESSSTRUCT in the appropriate .c file that includes winuser.h also solves the
problem on a smaller scale.

The file locking issue described here also affects Microsoft Visual Foxpro. It will not hang Visual Foxpro, however, unlike what was reported for Access and BDE. Instead, Visual Foxpro will think it has a lock when in fact it does not, which will cause a surprise for people when they move their app to multi-user or multi-instance! The debug output is as follows: fixme:file:LockFile not implemented in server fixme:file:UnlockFile not implemented in server This bug needs to be fixed before Visual Foxpro developers can deploy to Linux/Wine. So much existing Foxpro code relies on getting file locks and range (record) locks. It is necessary to provide primary key values for native visual foxpro tables. If the record isn't actually locked, duplicate key values could be assigned. To reproduce the problem in Visual Foxpro, start up instance 1 and in the command window type: create table test (cid c(32)) use in test use test shared insert into test (cid) values ("1") insert into test (cid) values ("2") Now fire up instance #2 and in the command window type: use test shared browse Keeping the browse window open, click on the command window and type: ? rlock() The "Record Locked" message should appear in the status bar. Switch back to instance #1 of VFP and type: browse Now, change the value of record #1. Normally, this would be illegal since instance #2 has that record locked, but because locking hasn't been implemented in Wine you will be allowed to change the field without raising an exception in VFP. This will cause subtle problems that may not be noticed by Visual Foxpro developers until too late!!! (Note: to successfully run VFP you will probably need to apply the fix for the mouseclick problem by Duane Clark: found in the activity for bug 434. Either that or don't click with the mouse in the command window!) (Note: Samba has file locking correctly implemented... can their implementation be worked into Wine? For example, if I run Visual Foxpro on a Windows client, and the test table described above is located on a Samba share on Linux, the file and range locks will behave correctly.)
