Summary: Smartsuite 97 apps crash with Unhandled exception
Product: Wine
Version: 20020904
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: test
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.com
ReportedBy: r_vdb(a)noos.fr
Since your documentation says this should not happened, I figured that the
following should be reported as a bug report :
I've installed Smartsuite 97, french language, on an Athlon-XP pc using
selfcompiled kernel 2.4.19, and running the latest Slackware-Current (XFree
4.2.1, KDE 3.0.3, gcc 3.2 compiler, glibc 2.2.5, latest Wine 20020904 compiled
with gcc 3.2).
The installer crashed at the end when trying to map some network device (the
online regsitration probably) but the installation seem to have worked
otherwise correctly.
But when I try to start Word Pro, it seems to start, the main window appear
and then it crashes, the following message appearing in the console :
wine: Unhandled exception, starting debugger...
err:seh:EXC_DefaultHandling Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr
0x400d6933
Terminated
As for 123, it also crashes but the debugger seems to hang and yields no
message.
Don't hesitate to contact me for further details, since I really want to use
this app. I can run any test you want.

Summary: Write (.wri) to RTF converter.
Product: Wine
Version: 20010112
Platform: PC
URL: http://www.msxnet.org/word2rtf/write.c
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: wine-tools
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.com
ReportedBy: sean(a)mess.org
Here is a Write (.wri) to RTF converter. I've done this by comparing the
output of write32.cnv to my own. It's now almost the same (the reason that
I haven't attached is that I'm still improving it).
Now I have enough information to write a write32.cnv, but I don't know if there's
any need for this.
The license is currently GPL, but I'm going to change it to LGPL.

All the ListView controls in WinMX have the first column (or possibly second

the filename column in the search screen.

I created a different test app. This one will dynamically create a number of
the different controls that PB uses. If you can test this out on Wine, we can
see if it's the control that is an issue or the font (and if it is the control,
if there are any other controls that might be an issue).

I think the main issue was to determine what these values should be for Windows
3.1. Otherwise (and maybe in any case) one has to add lots of if win31 - else,
etc. That's what blocked my old patch. Then I got sidetracked and now the patch
is gone.
