This looks to me like it may be dependant on the Linux version being used.

I have just installed Wine via http://www.winehq.org/download/deb which gave me
1.1.42 (why not 1.2-rc6 ?) and 1.1.42 is failing with the host being Linux
2.6.32-23-generic.

I also tried
http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/archive/ubuntu/jaunty/wine_1.1.38~winehq0~ub...
which fails.

I don't know if this is Wine or Linux at fault, but one of them is.
