What video card/driver are you using? Are you sure this is not because you updated other software on your system? The game seems to be working for others (see bug 11697)
If you're sure it's because you upgraded Wine, then please run a regression test between wine 0.9.55/56 and 0.9.47: http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting
