[Bug 18249] quoting extra comments

I searched for open and closed bugs at bugzilla.org with combination of search
keywords "quotes comments extra" and did not see anything. No open bugs match
but more then 200 closed bugs are returned so I could have missed one.

Off hand it acts like an counter overflow.
I am not subscribed to any of the bug that have the problem but is it only the
newsgroup getting the long messages or do the individual subscribed to the bug
get the extra info ?
