Would have thought so assuming that something uses Windows rules for accessing files (case-insensitive). Should still see if the file exists under with the real name (mine did and it's the same version of dotnet40). As I said, I get a different error, anyway: Fatal error. 0xC0000005 at System.Management.IWbemClassObjectFreeThreaded.Get_(System.String, Int32, System.Object ByRef, Int32 ByRef, Int32 ByRef)
Can you please attach a log with WINEDEBUG=+wbemprox,+wmiutils
