I only notice this bug when playing on performance presets lower than Balanced. Playing on Balanced or a Quality setting works as well as it does in Windows. Also, this exists in the Live version of EQ2. The two versions are exactly the same except for patcher, server, and subscription.
The problem should be visible only when shader model 3 shaders are disabled and complex shader distance is > -1 (these are options you can set in the game). It was understood this is some kind of Nvidia bug with Geforce 8xxx+ videocards. Is that also your case?
I'm using an Nvidia Geforce GT 240. As I said, the problem only exists when I drop my graphics below the Balanced preset. At Balanced, complex shader distance is 50. At High Performance (one step down), complex shader distance is 25. I haven't noticed anything on my windows pc.
