What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Keywords| |download Summary|Error on closing Spotify |Spotify crashes on exit
--- Comment #7 from Anastasius Focht focht@gmx.net --- Hello folks,
--- quote --- I can't reproduce this in 1.8-rc3. --- quote ---
that's interesting because Spotify doesn't work with plain Wine 1.7.5X/1.8-rcX -> bug 39446 You have to use Wine-Staging to get anything useful = main user interface shown. Just clicking 'X' on an empty main (login) window doesn't really count.
Aside from that ... OP's backtrace:
--- snip --- 00000022 wdfmgr.exe ... 000000b4 Screencast-O-Matic.exe --- snip ---
These processes are certainly not part of a Spotify installation. Don't report bugs when the WINEPREFIX has been reused/recycled for multiple software installations - it makes bug reports automatically invalid. Use shared prefixes at your own risk!
I wasted some time trying to reproduce the original crash by using old Wine 1.7.18 but it seems even then there was no way to get it properly up with current Spotify client.

I must assume OP didn't tell the whole truth here, that is:
* used an old version of Spotify (you must specify the *exact* client version!) * changed Windows version * something else
Leaving out essential information how to reproduce is not nice and basically causes bug reports being dismissed/ignored.
