Sorry, let me clarify.

I installed the program linked in comment 1, ran it, and tried clicking various
things—the icons in the upper left, the blank grey window, "Menu" in the upper
right; at no point did the program stop responding. I'm guessing it might be
necessary to actually connect a device to it?

This is also with KDE, version 5.90.0.
