------- Additional Comments From andrel@speakeasy.net 2006-05-07 19:58 ------- I am running the PhotoImpact 11 Upgrade install, from CD.
The Installer works to a point in Wine 0.9.15, where it crashes. If you kill explorer.exe and setup.exe it leaves the binaries. The application then needs MSVCIRT.DLL to be present. I used a copy from XP Home SP2 and tried it again. The application blows up with a :
fixme:winedbg:be_i386_is_func_call Unsupported yet call insn (0x10) at 0x7fc3a417 fixme:heap:RtlCompactHeap stub Invalid address (0x7fc3a419) for breakpoint 0, disabling it
and a message from Iedit_.exe (Called by Iedit.exe):
Unable to read version information from the file C:\Program Files\ Ulead Systems\Ulead PhotoImpact 11\Iedit_.exe Insufficient memory or system resources low.
This message pops up twice then the application exits. This message is also displayed when running PhotoImpact 4.0 from Wine. PhotoImpact 4.0 has no problems with the installation. But has the same execution problem.
