Thanks, as suggested at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/149260, downgrading to http://people.ubuntu.com/~bryce/Testing/intel/xserver-xorg-video-intel_2.1.1... fixed this problem.
Then this is a driver bug. Resolving invalid.
This crash is most likely not the fault of wine. Also I had some OpenGL related crashs in IMVU that prevented even Cntl-Alt-Backspace, Cntl-Alt-1 etc from being processed. A Wine bug shouldn't be able to do that right? (Alt-Sysreq was still processed)
Correct. Wine is a userland application and by definition cannot lock your system (unless you run it as root). If it _does_ lock up, it's exposing a bug in something else (usually video drivers).
