I think that Wine itself should report the correct path that the applications expect. I already have a shell script that I insert in the command line to correct the path; hence it is not a problem for me. Nevertheless I reported this because it is a bug in Wine, and imho needs fixing. People should be able to associate file types directly without resorting to workarounds.
