Interested too, and confirmed for wine-1.1.23.
I was able to get the VI client to work for the most part except for the Console (which from what I hear is really VNC and there are other ways to hook in to it, however it seems pretty fast to just be VNC). The only bad thing about it is you need admin access on the VI server to disable the SSL mode and force authentication and communication in over standard HTTP.
This site explains the magic, it took me about 2 hours of tweaking with a different order for install using a newer Wine but I eventually got a mostly working VI client.
