This problem can be reproduced with the following steps :

1) create an object (e.g. a point)
2) apply the "Name this object" (10th icon, 1st item) command on this object
3) enter a name
4) do anything else (click somewhere else, chose another command)

However, the problem does not appear when naming the object by typing its name
just after creating it, or when no name is entered at step 3 above.
