Please retest with current wine (1.6-rc1 or later) and provide a terminal log if the problem still happens.
If you don't, this bug will be abandoned soon.

yes but above (in comment #14 and comment #15) it was mentioned that this is probably not a regression... could we say that? Anyway, I am note sure I have enough time for a regression test, but I can try to find it.
If you use ies4linux, this bug is clearly invalid (we don't support any third-party wine wrappers here, only plain wine).
Note the regression test doesn't imply to test every version, so it doesn't take so long. And you can always use your distro's wine while doing your regression test: just make sure you use separate wineprefixes.
