Eschalon: Book I is an old-school RPG. The game starts with a launcher and an audio file is intended to play when the launcher appears. When starting the Steam version of the game I can only hear the first fragments of the sound which is suddenly interrupted and the game no longer emits any audio.
The audio file in question is launch.wav (PCM, 22050 Hz, Stereo, 16 bits)

The first bad commit could be any of: 901af51ea32f2d192a598808abab2d1b6a940773 be158e48ad8ee556941bd3f1ff94ca7116680d00 We cannot bisect more!
I think it should be commit be158e48ad8ee556941bd3f1ff94ca7116680d00 winmm: Implement waveOut* on top of MMDevAPI.
