I don't have League of Legends to try, but IIRC this particular part of LoL specifics was about making 64 bit syscalls from 32 bit code by calling Teb->WOW32Reserved address. This address indeed was there in the previous version of syscall thunks but is not there now. Does the attached patch (on top of current Staging) change anything? This doesn't remove the need in any other LoL specific patches which were used previously on top of Staging before 5.9.
