I'm running 1.1.4 and here it crashes even when I try to start a skirmish game. Most of the time I cannot even get into the game, but get stuck on a black screen.
Playing campaign and skirmish with 1.1.11 (on NVIDIA 8800 GTS 512), everything is dead stable. Maybe it's your video card and/or driver? Which ones do you use?
