Sorry for the late reply. I'm not tech-savvy enough (yet) in Wine to *not* use POL. After reinstalling everything and starting from stratch (and doing a few other things), Skyrim now works for me. Not really sure what actually fixed it, but changing status to FIXED.
Nothing was fixed in wine.
