--- Comment #16 from Pierre Etchemaite pe-winehq@concept-micro.com 2012-06-08 17:58:16 CDT --- For what it's worth, doing some tests using the french demo from http://www.clubic.com/demo-jeux-video-10002-0-still-life-2-demo-jouable-1.ht..., game crashes at startup with plain Wine 1.5.5, but with native DirectX DLLs it goes on, and seem to work ok (menus, videos), until the actual game starts and then the display is messed up as described in this bugreport. I'm not sure it's just textures that aren't right though, I'm no specialist but I'd say geometry is broken too.
Setting video memory size (to 512 in my case) slightly improves display. For example, the "cellphone display" is in the right place instead of showing up on top of scene: - without Direct3D/VideoMemorySize: http://ks369561.kimsufi.com/~petchema/wine/sl2/StillLife2DemoFR4-noVMS.jpg - with Direct3D/VideoMemorySize=512: http://ks369561.kimsufi.com/~petchema/wine/sl2/StillLife2DemoFR4-VMS512.jpg
(Damn, this game looks interesting and is at half price on gog.com for a few days, but looks unplayable for the moment...)
