--- Comment #11 from Gregor Münch greg87@online.de 2008-11-02 05:27:44 --- To be honest, Im not quiet satisfied with the final resolution of this bug. 1. You can not demand that a user never change his hardware in almost 2 years and switches cards just to see if a wine bug exists or not. 2. In this special case a simple code lookup is required by an experienced developer to say if this bug(limitation) still exists or not 3. Demo? Does not exist.
Its not the situation that I desperately want to fix that bug, well no I dont experience it anymore. But thats only because I have a dx10 capable card, which all of them seem to have more then 256 constants available.
But remember that this game is a dx9 one, so if its impossible to solve this bug witch wines current d3d implementation, we should at least warn the user about it.
Moreover, as I already stated bug #10206 is a 100% duplicate of this one.
"Crysis fails to render properly at all for me (see attachment), whereas on other systems, it looks fairly good. The only difference is that that user is running a Geforce 8600 GT and I am running a 7900 GTX. Same Wine version and settings, and same driver version."
Now guess why.
I reopen for now until a dev says that wine doesnt have this limitation anymore.
