("ps -e | grep pulse") This looks like it might be Bug 27336, which is at least partly a bug in alsa-plugins. There's a patch in alsa-plugins git (has not yet been released) which improves the situation, but I also have reports that it's not fixed entirely by that patch.
Can you confirm if you're using PulseAudio?
