Can you try downgrading to the previous wine version you had installed? The crashlog implies that a video driver change may be involved as well.
I don't know how to downgrade to the previous version of wine. There doesn't seem to be any way to do that with synaptic or with Ubuntu Software Centre.
There was no video driver change. But I had a problem with my monitor with the previous version of xubuntu. Half of the time it didn't boot to the correct resolution. With the current version of xubuntu, that problem seems to be corrected.
