--- Comment #3 from Stefan Dösinger stefan@codeweavers.com 2012-01-08 04:10:05 CST --- I don't think this is a duplicate of 10115. It is related, but different. The problem with the partial draws is that Wine doesn't notice resolution changes that were made by non-wine apps.
To reproduce the problem without any app crashes do something like:
1) Set the screen resolution to something smaller than your maximum res 2) Start wine(notepad alone is fine) 3) Use xrandr to switch to a higher resolution 4) Wine apps only draw in the part of the screen that was covered by the old resolution
A way to restore proper operation is to terminate all wine apps, e.g. by wineserver -k, or change the screen resolution again an then set it to the desired resolution with some windows application running in wine.
