Different version of Pegasus Mail but the problem is essentially identical. 
Wine shuts the program down when  a message is sent or the editor window is
closed.  This seems to be a normal shutdown in but cases since the lock file is
removed as in done with a normal close.  If the program crashed the lock file
would remain.
