It's neither blocker, nor a properly reported bug.

Please provide at least the name of the application, an url where a demo
can downloaded from, and explain how do you experience the slowness in
comparison with Windows.

Since it's under a 64-bit OS, do you have 32-bit OpenGL compatibility
libraries installed?
