Ubuntu 10.04x64 NVidia - 195.36.24
Looks like same issue. I was playing last night. Updated today 7MB patch or so for 1.2. 1.1.2? I can't recall, but anyway after the update it failed to launch game when pressing 'play' which wasn't a surprise after so many similar issues during initial install and update. I tried launching and StarCraftII.exe and it freezes shortly after the window is created, and before the first frame is even rendered. I have tried with and without the regedit suggestions, virtual desktop, pasuspender. I would like to note that the error for alsa is something I have had since day 1, some years ago, and I can play WoW w/ sound even though I get that message. Also kind of strange that the process seems to fork itself and kill its parent, which seemed to limit what winedbg could do but I could be wrong-- but the normal executable you can see very plainly that the command prompt is returned.

** Don't know what the problem was, but I 'mv ~/.wine ~/.wine.bak' and tried again... voila **
