--- Comment #3 from yuliu616ex@gmail.com 2011-06-04 20:12:05 CDT --- I have the same problem. It's hard to imagine this bug is ignored so long time without fixing. (already 2 years !!)
The situation of mine is similar. I was using ubuntu 10.10 (32bit), use Firefox 3.6 with the Slingplayer web plugin in the wine. It works. Then, I upgraded (clean install) my OS to Ubuntu 11 (64 bit), and installed wine1.3. I tried to run the wineprefix that used to work, then, I got a full screen black screen, with no mouse pointer, I can only use (ctrl alt F1 to log in command mode). Then, I tried to downgrade back to Ubuntu 10.10 (64 bit), but it's still the same. Reinstall the wineprefix from blank, no luck. Install firefox 4 instead, no luck. Install flash player 9 instead of 10, no luck. I wonder is that because some component is updated and make the situation inconsistant. Therefore, I tried to use a more consistent way, I install the local execute version of slingplayer and try to follows the wine appdb, but it still fails. (the appdb is long time no updated)
Finally, I come here to report the bug, but I found both the bug of the web plugin and the bug of the local execute are reported long time ago. So, I leave this comment to express my concern, especially this is a regression bug (which is told should be fixed quickly according to wine FAQ)
ps. btw, I suggest to add some way to poll for bug for their priority
