I had the same problem running Launcher.exe on Ubuntu 10.10 and 11.04 using
WINE versions 1.2.3 and 1.3.32.

I found that if I disabled P2P on the downloader (Options > Downloader
Preferences > untick "Enable Peer-to-Peer Transfer" and apply) then it worked
as normal.
