Summary: configure complains that freetype is missing when zlib is missing Product: Wine Version: 1.1.26 Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: build-env AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: jjudin+wine@iki.fi
When I'm doing ./configure while compiling, I'm getting complaint that freetype development files are missing. But the real culprint was that 32 bit version of zlib was missing and configure script didn't notice that and gave wrong error message.
Here's a snippet from config.log where existence of freetype libraries is tested:
configure:14543: gcc -m32 -o conftest -g -O2 conftest.c -lfreetype -lfreetype -lz >&5 /usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.3.3/../../../libz.so when searching for -lz /usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.3.3/../../../libz.a when searching for -lz /usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/libz.so when searching for -lz /usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/libz.a when searching for -lz /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lz collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
