I'm having a similar error when running the program Genedoc.  This used to run
perfectly under previous versions of wine.  Now it loads, but when I try to
open a file (open dialog works) I get the Badalloc error related to
X_CreatePixmap:

X Error of failed request:  BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
  Major opcode of failed request:  53 (X_CreatePixmap)

I have been able to import files of other types and work with the program, but
opening any of its specific filetypes causes the crash.  Attached is the log
and backtrace generated as above with:
 +relay,+seh,+tid,+x11drv,+synchronous,+bitmap

I'm running Kubuntu 8.10 on amd64 and have tried wine 1.0.1 and wine 1.1.14
