Summary: Black screen in Addiction Pinball Product: Wine Version: 1.2-rc4 Platform: x86 URL: http://www.thepinballzone.net/play/addiction-pinball/ OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: markk@clara.co.uk
Addiction Pinball is a pinball game by Team 17. This bug applies to both the retail CD-ROM and the downloadable time-limited demo, with or without virtual desktop mode. The game was originally released in 1998.
The demo can be downloaded from http://www.thepinballzone.net/play/addiction-pinball/ Because of the "buy me now" front end added to the demo, you'll probably need to install IE 6 using Winetricks before playing it.
After installing, run pinball.exe. If using the demo click "PLAY IT NOW!". Notice that the display is blank. The game appears to be running though; you can press return a few times and left and right shift (the default flipper keys) and listen to the sound effects. Press Alt-F4 to quit.
