Consider that you're looking into the sun, so the game might bright up your
whole screen.

Post processing effects are quite often ugly and way too strong. In many games
they are a matter of taste. If I saw the screenshots without associating them
to a bugreport I'd say that the first is rendered with post processing off and
the 2nd with post processing off.

However, that's only guesswork. I think a comparison screenshot from Windows
will be very helpful.
