Simon: For you it would be enough to set buffer to 200ms.
rasz: As a workaround you could try at frequency 22050, 8 or 16 bit, and acceleration to 'Emulation'.
Another workaround you could set 'use direct hardware access' in alsa from wiki.winehq.org/UsefulRegistryKeys - However that will forfeit the ability of alsa to allow concurrent access.
