I was using wine from the Arch Linux repositories, version 1.1.30. wine 1.1.29 works fine, no problems.
Can you retest with 1.1.31? If the problem is still present, you can identify the change that has caused the problem with a regression test http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting
