This still occurs with wine 4.10.

So I tried three things.

1. I tried d3d8to9.

This improved the graphics, but they are broken and now the objects like the
characters and boat are invisible. See the attached photo.

2. I tried to use wine-nine-standalone with d3d8to9, this resulted in unrelated
issues that prevented the test.

3. I tried dgvoodoo, this results in a black screen.

4. I tried with dgvoodoo + dxvk, the graphical issue is gone, but the invisible
characters and boat issue still occurs.
