Something I would like to note. In my experience the 384.x nvidia driver brings with it a significant performance drop and graphical glitches in the witcher3 (under wine) as well. I ended up reverting to 375.66.
This does include the 384.90 nvidia driver, which I tested last weekend.
If I knew how to get fps numbers I would for comparison between the different drivers.

I am wondering if this is also related to the performance hits being seen on the nvidia cards vs AMD. I'd be curious if you reverted your driver if you still saw the same performance hits with DirectX 11 games.

you can take a look at the fps in the terminal:
export WINEDEBUG=-all,+fps
before starting the game with wine game.exe
I sadly can't downgrade the driver easily here.
