http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=4905 says that kind of error happened in 0.9.58, too.
Does this happen on a fresh install (i.e. remove .wine, install game) with no native DLLs?
(Might be worth some developer trying it under valgrind.)
Each of the games I test has their own wine prefix. The HOMM5 prefix is clean and has no modifications. The game is also patched to version 1.6. Do you think that a particular command could act as a workaround?
