--- Comment #4 from Jeff Zaroyko jeffz@jeffz.name 2009-06-29 03:47:32 --- Windows XP does it's compatibility stuff automatically, the user does not need to change any settings for the application for it to do fixups etc. Yes there are manual overrides in the properties dialog for an executable but that is optional.
NFS3 is for Windows 95 and 98 only and the app will refuse to run when Windows returns version information for versions higher. Wine does not have a compatibility database to do such heuristics so this is invalid, just set the version in winecfg.
