I own this game but was never able to get it running in Wine due to the copy protection not working. Maybe I should try it again to see if it works 'better' nowadays (I got alas only the French version - damn French shops only selling translated versions of the game :-) ).
Anyway, if the problem seem DDraw related, could you attach a WINEDEBUG=+ddraw,+seh,+tid log to this bug report so that I can check what happens ?
