I tested SC2 myself today. Starter edition (free).

I also had that ID crash thing.

To get SC2 currently running you need to.

winetricks -q corefonts. That's bug 40432.
Next crash is at bug 41725 and can be worked around overriding that library at
winecfg to native. Then it crashes at bug 42001 and it can be worked around
setting ucrtbase as native at winecfg.

Can you confirm that these steps make the game work?

wine rc2.0rc1-git.

You need to have up to date wine, you cant test just any version. Wine has
fixed quite recently some SC2 related bugs.
