Not really, I don't understand this SSL area. All I can say is from the point
of view of sockets.

When you open the application it connects to the server to look for patches, it
does 2 connections and both work. Then when you try to login it will again
connect to the server using the very same parameters but the server will refuse
to handshake stating a fatal error (0x02) error related to protocol version
(0x46) occurred.
